Dabangg 2 was premiered in Mumbai with fanfare following ‘Chulbul Pandey’ to the theaters. I did catch the movie first day and must say it was as entertaining as it’s earlier version. But getting back to take a look at the red carpet of this event where the lead actors as well as their friends & family joined in to view this movie.

Sonakshi Sinha surprised me by choosing this black & fuchsia anarkali by designer duo Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla. She did look good in this look………… a refreshing change from her desi, saree clad looks on & off screen. 🙂
The Dabangg brothers dressed in casuals could just not part their way from denim. Sigh!!! I so wish to see them all dressed for a big event…………leaving that aside, actually digging Salamn’s ‘Being Human’ T-shirt which would have worked for any casual outing or promotion.
Malaika Arora Khan who is also the producer of this movie along with husban Arbaaz, came dressed in a Shehlaa Khan outfit. Not a fan of the outfit……..think it would have worked well if the outfit was in a single colour than blending white with yellow. No complains about the accessories though.
The family also extended it’s support by attending the premiere. Sister Arpita, brother Sohail & his wife Seema made an appearance at the event. Arpita wore a ‘Sabyasachi’ outfit which did look nice on her.
Other Celebrities attending the premiere were
Neelam Kothari – Soni
Riteish & Genelia Deshmukh

IFP reviews the formal black carpet in this case at the Hello! Hall of Fame Awards 2012.

Madhuri Dixit Nene entered this event in a black ‘Dior’ gown with hair doneup and make-up kept simple. She does look pretty but wish the silhouette especially the skirt part of it was not pleated instead a slimmer fit would have worked wonders for Madhuri. Nonetheless adore her on & off the red carpet. 🙂
Katrina Kaif was also awarded the Hello! award where she wore a purple leopard Dolce & Gabbana print gown. This lady is effortlessly beautiful but her style needs loads of drama. I wish to see Katrina in more structured outfits than just in doll like dresses. Sigh! 😦
Anushka Sharma in Roberto Cavalli monochrome print outfit left me a bit disappointed. Firstly the outfit is too plain and required accessorizing plus the old fashioned hair. This look gives me the feel of a gown without any glam quotient. 😦 ………..Not a fan of the dress.
Sridevi along with hubby Boney Kapoor & daughter Jhanvi were spotted at the awards. Sridevi opted for a Prabal Gurung gown which was a dream….though I would just add that the messy hair braid was not desirable here…..Sridevi still managed to wow me. 🙂 🙂
Ranbir Kapoor in jodhpuri pants & a jacket………….nice outfit but wrong occasion. How I wish he would have combined a jodhpuri jacket along with the pants to complete this formal look. Not a fan of the stubble as well. 😦
Arjun & Meher always make a good looking pair at any red carpet event. Arjun in his basic black suit was complemented by wife Meher’s golden sequin gown. Though not a fan of the gown but Meher sure makes this look work.
Sonali Bendre opted for this bright coloured saree with a nude colour sequin blouse. I am taken aback by so many colours in one outfit……….this one is way too filmy for me. 😦
Sussane Roshan in a leopard print ‘Dolce & Gabbana’ outfit. For the occasion, this dress fits the bill. Thank lord that Sussane kept this look gracefully simple is minimal accessories. Like it… 🙂
Priyanka Chopra received the Hello! Award in her Dolce & Gabbana gown…………Every red carpet event I am sure to spot Priyanka in pastels………….Wish she would opt for more lively colours as seeing her in pastels is getting way too boring for me. 😦

Marrackech Film Festival which was held in Morocco paid tribute to Indian cinema where numerous Bollywood celebrites graced the red carpet. Here is a look at the red carpet of this event.
Priyanka Chopra & Ileana D’Cruz made it on the red carpet of Marrakech Film Festival where their movie ‘Barfi’ was showcased. I did happen to see Ileana at the Mumbai International airport on her way to the festival dressed in her casual bests. Even on the red carpet Ileana gets my vote in this Tarun Tahiliani outfit over Priyanka’s choice in ‘Manish Malhotra’ lehenga. I felt that Priyanka’s hair killed the entire look but her outfit was beautiful. Style wise Ileana looked amazing with her updo and the saree-gown outfit.
Glad Priyanka opted for black saree from Ritu Kumar’s recent collection. The lace sleeve blouse & the straight hair made Priyanka look uber sexy……..I am all for this alluring look.
Hrithik Roshan along with wife Sussane made a dashing red carpet appearance after a long time. Hrithik was dressed in tuxedo while Sussane wore a Abu Jani – Sandeep Khosla design.
Hrithik also looked good in white tuxedo on Day 2 at the film festival while Sussane kept it simple in a black gown. Wish Sussane would add in more colour to her choices than always play safe when it comes to dressing up for the red carpet.
Arjun & Mehr Rampal were present at this event, wherein Arjun’s latest movie ‘Chakravyuh’ was screened. Mehr stayed true to her favorite designer ‘Tarun Tahiliani’ though I wish she would have taken a dupatta with this outfit………..basic black bandhgala for Arjun & complimenting him in a black & golden anarkali, This couple do rock the red carpet with an ease. 🙂
Malaika Arora Khan went the traditional route in this ‘Manish Malhotra’ lehenga though the outfit is simple but Malaika made it work with beautiful accessories. 🙂
Kalki Koechlin & Anurag Basu also made an appearance on the red carpet……..Kalki’s choice was ‘Sabyasachi’ outfit & a hairband matching it while Anurag was the surprise in a bandhgala. The couple did look good and do get IFP’s thumbs up for co-ordinating their looks so well. 🙂 🙂
As much as I am a fan of Amitabh Bachchan, the shiny jackets that he wears always make me cringe the moment I look at them. Sirji please opt for colors which soothe the eye not make them wanna shut due to it’s shine. 😦
Sharmila Tagore is always a beautiful sight on or off the red carpet. She spells elegance & class in every look of hers. At this film festival Sharmilaji wore a pink as well as a blue saree. I loved the way she co-ordinated her saree with a rich embroidered, velvet jacket.
Sridevi who never stops to amaze me also opted for a ‘Manish Malhotra’ outfit in red & blue. Though I am not a fan of floor length anarkali but Sridevi looked fabulous in this one.
Socialite & Dior Ambassador in India Kalyani Chawla went the Anamika Khanna way in this beautiful golden beige lehenga. Though I do wish she would have used more eye-catching jewelry with this outfit. Nonetheless she did make her mini Dior blend well with her look.
